Daniel Thomas Farley
Daniel Thomas Farley, 79, of Channahon, Illinois, passed away peacefully surrounded by his loving family Oct. 25, 2023.
He was born April 13, 1944, in Litchfield, Minnesota. He was the son of Thomas and Katherine Farley. On May 15, 1965, he was united in marriage to Beverly Nygaard of Grove City. They resided in Illinois most of their married life where he worked for Operating Engineers. He retired in 2003, moved back to Litchfield for 15 years. In 2018, they returned to Illinois to live near their son Randy (Kristy), grandchildren Danny, Mason, and Lacie.
Dan enjoyed fishing, hunting, riding motorcycles, old mustang cars and spending the winters in Arizona. He loved spending time with family and friends. He enjoyed his life, and we will miss him.
He is survived by his wife Beverly, his son Randy Farley (Kristy), grandchildren Danny, Mason, Lacie and Greg , his great grandchildren, Layla, Aaliyah, and Ayden, his Siblings Mary Chesson of Minnesota, Linda (Dave) Suprenant of Illinois, Frank and special friend, Linda of Arizona, Tom of California, Pat (Beverly) of Colorado, Tony (Shirley) of Minnesota, Joe (Colleen) of California, Julie of California, Tim of Minnesota, Laurie and special friend, Ed of Minnesota, and Chuck of California; many special nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his daughter, Teri, his parents, Thomas and Katherine, brothers Jim and Shon, brother-in-law, Ron Chesson and brother-in law, Jim Nygaard.
A celebration of life was held at Operating Engineers Hall in Joliet, IL on Saturday, November 11, 2023.
Funeral Service will be held July 8, 2024, at Church of St. Philip in Litchfield, Minnesota and he will be laid to rest at Calvary Cemetery, Litchfield, MN.
