You will be prompted to launch the meeting on the Zoom Workplace app or click Join from your browser to join on the web if you don’t want to download the app.

Check your audio and video settings, then click Join.
You will either join the meeting automatically or be placed in the waiting room until the host admits you.

To join your first Zoom meeting, click the meeting link in your invitation, then follow the prompts to open the Zoom app (download if needed), enter your name, and select “Join with Computer Audio” to connect your microphone and speakers; you might need a meeting ID and passcode from the invite as well. 

Microphone/Camera: You’ll see icons at the bottom left to mute/unmute your mic and start/stop your video. 
Waiting Room: You might see a “waiting room” message until the host lets you in. 
Test Audio: Use the “Test Speaker & Microphone” option if available to check your setup beforehand.

To practice a Zoom meeting by yourself, use the official Zoom test meeting page (zoom.us/test) to check your audio, video, and internet connection with on-screen prompts, or schedule a private meeting for yourself to test features like screen sharing and backgrounds in a simulated environment. You can also test settings directly in the Zoom app’s settings menu before joining any meeting.
